Qualification Overview
This qualification is a Key Stage 1 (KS1) SATs Preparation Programme, designed to support young learners in developing confidence, foundational literacy and numeracy skills, and a positive attitude towards assessment. The programme reinforces classroom learning and helps pupils approach SATs in a calm, supportive and age-appropriate way.
Who This Qualification Is For
This programme is suitable for learners who:
- Are in Year 2 and preparing for KS1 SATs
- Need support with early reading, writing and maths skills
- Benefit from small-group teaching and guided practice
- Are developing confidence with tests and assessments
Fees and Class Times
Fees: £8.00 per hour
Classes:
- Thursday & Friday: 16:30 – 19:30
- Saturday & Sunday: 10:30 – 16:00

English
- Phonics and reading fluency
- Reading comprehension and simple inference
- Sentence structure, spelling and punctuation
- Handwriting and early writing skills
Mathematics
- Number recognition and place value
- Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division basics

Assessment and Monitoring
Assessment is gentle and supportive, using:
- Teacher observations
